Rudnick, Hosek & Pendl Ltd. is a general practice law firm that traces its roots here in Greenville, Ohio, for over thirty years. We serve a broad array of legal needs for clients. While our practice is focused primarily in Darke County, we also regularly handle cases in Mercer, Shelby, Miami, and Preble Counties.
We pride ourselves on personalized service that is sensitive to the truths that each client situation is unique and that legal strategies are not meant to be applied in a “one size fits all” manner. Diligence is our primary focus in meeting client needs; it is our aim to handle client matters as efficiently as possible while not sacrificing quality and attentiveness to details.
Company History
The firm's history begins over forty years ago when Scott D. Rudnick came to practice law in Greenville after admission to the bar in 1979. Scott started out doing primarily real estate work, but quickly broadened his scope to civil litigation, criminal defense, domestic relations, and other areas.
In 1988 Scott purchased an office at 121 West Third Street, Greenville, that would house the firm's operations for over thirty years. His practice grew quickly, and eventually included a title company (Towne & Country Land Title) to provide real estate title and closing services.
Nathan D. Hosek joined the firm in 2009, supplementing the firm's transactional practice in Wills, Trusts, estate and trust administration, and business law. The firm welcomed Alexander S. Pendl to its practice in 2016, bringing with him a dedication to excellence in criminal and civil litigation that has propelled the firm forward.
In 2021 the firm took a big step forward with the purchase of a much larger office building located at 200 West Main Street, Greenville, in order to better serve its clients with a more convenience location and more accessible office. Partners Rudnick, Hosek, and Pendl now lead an operation that includes eight employees.
We count it a privilege to counsel clients through some of the best and worst circumstances of their lives, including:
- the conduct of real estate closings for the sale of homes, marking significant transitions in the lives of clients and their families;
- the formation, sale, purchase, and succession of many family businesses as ambitious and entrepreneurial clients endeavor to support their families and serve their neighbors;
- the drafting and execution of numerous wills and trust documents to secure the passage of legacies and wealth to clients’ children, grandchildren, and local charitable organizations;
- the provision of counsel in family law cases such as separation, dissolution, and divorce, as clients seek to effectively and gracefully navigate very difficult seasons of life;
- the representation of clients in civil disputes, attempting to protect client interests in a manner that is equitable and mindful of the client's bottom line in terms of cost; and
- the representation of criminal defendants to ensure a proper defense for the protection and rehabilitation of their reputations, careers, and lives.
