Company Profile

The Toledo Clinic, Inc.
Company Overview
The Toledo Clinic was founded in 1926 by three surgeons, Dr. William Neill, Dr. James Magoun, and Dr. Kinsley Renshaw. The Toledo Clinic was originally located at the corner of Collingwood and Delaware where these three physicians organized The Toledo Clinic. The Clinic then moved to 2001 Collingwood Avenue at the corner of West Woodruff in 1931.
On June 1, 1954 the property at 2001 Collingwood Avenue was purchased by twenty-two physicians. The Clinic purchased the red brick house next door and remodeled the coach house in the rear to house additional physicians and the business office staff. The Toledo Clinic moved slowly forward from about 1954-1969.
Prior to 1949 Toledo Clinic stock was held by the three founders. A reorganization occurred and all members of the Toledo Clinic Association could purchase shares. Eventually a requirement was passed that all new members had to purchase shares. As the value of these shares increased, the cost became an obstacle when recruiting new physicians. As a result, the Clinic formed a professional corporation called The Toledo Clinic Incorporated or T.C.I.
The Toledo Clinic Corporation changed its name to Secor Realty Corporation on October 27, 1970. Secor Realty owns the facilities, rents space to T.C.I., which in turn rents space to the physicians. In July 1969 ground breaking took place here at the Secor Road location. The Toledo Clinic was dedicated on November 20, 1970.
Today the Toledo Clinic has three buildings on the main campus and several satellite locations throughout the Toledo area including Rossford, Oregon, Sylvania and into Monroe, Adrian, and Hillsdale Michigan. We are a multi-specialty medical center with over 90 physicians in 25 specialties and an outpatient surgery center. Also offered is a Laboratory, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Mammography, CT Scanner and Dentistry services.
